REGISTRATION

You may register by mail for the spring session.  You may also register in person during our business hours:  Monday through Friday, 9 A.M. to 6 P.M.; Saturday, 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.; and after services.  There is a $10 non-refundable fee for each class.  A $5 late fee applies to all registrations received on or after May 3, 2010.  You do not need to be a member of the Universal Truth Center to enroll.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

12 WEEK COURSE
May 8, 2010-July 24, 2010

4T PROSPERITY:  If your experience has been one of lack and limitation and you would like to learn how to change, this course is for you.  Commit to your own success from within.  4T is an expanded 12-week experience designed to place you forever in the abundant flow.  This is more than a course; it’s a life-altering program.  It guarantees that your tithe will be returned.  Prerequisite:  None.  Text:  4T Prosperity Workbook and Tapes or CD’s ($49.50 fee for book and tapes or CD’s plus weekly tithe).  Day & Time:  Saturdays (10:00 A.M.– Noon) Teacher:  Theresa Campbell

BASIC TRUTH PRINCIPLES I:  What is New Thought Christianity?  This course offers an in-depth study of the basic principles espoused by the Universal Truth Center and all UFBL churches.  It includes the origin and history of the New Thought Movement and the UFBL.  Prerequisite:  None.  Text:  Alternatives (Fisher) & The New Thought Christian (Warch).  Day & Time:  Mondays (7-9 P.M.)  Teacher: Barbara Cobb

BASIC TRUTH PRINCIPLES II:  What are the principles of practical Christianity?  This course is a continuation of Basic Truth Principles I.  It shares information about how to live a happy and successful life.  Prerequisite:  Basic Truth Principles I.  Text:  Lessons in Truth (Cady).  Day & Time: Mondays (7-9 P.M.) NEW BEGINNINGS-GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU:  A basic guide to The Simple Truth perfect for teens. This course offers explanations of fundamental spiritual principles like the nature of God; God’s laws of cause and effect, making sense about who you are and your relationship to other people. This course is offered for youth ages 12-18. Prerequisite:None Text:  The Simple Truth (Jafolla).  Day & Time:  Sundays  (10:50 A.M. during Sunday School).  Teachers:  Maia Johnson

BIBLE II:  An overview of the New Testament. This course examines the New Testament from a historical and critical perspective. From the four canonical gospels to the apocalyptic book of Revelation, students will study not only the content of the New Testament but also the communities that produced them.  Prerequisite:  Bible I.  Text:  A Student’s Guide to the New Testament (Tumpkin) Day & Time:  Mondays (7-9 P.M.).  Teacher: Edgar Wright

BIBLE IV:  Metaphysical Old Testament. This course is a continuation of Bible III and covers material spanning the period between the Division of the Kingdom and the Intertestamental Period. Students will study the metaphysical interpretation of the characters and events of the Old Testament and their relationship to our current experiences. BIBLE VI:  This course is a study of the metaphysical interpretation of the Christian Scriptures (New Testament), from Acts to Revelation. It will focus on discovering the significance of scriptural teachings in everyday life. MASTER’S PLUS PROGRAM SESSION III:  CONSCIOUSNESS TRANSFORMED:  The third and final course in the Master’s Plus Series based on the writings of Joel S. Goldsmith.  This course enables the student to move from the metaphysical to the mystical level of consciousness.  Prerequisite:  completion of sessions II and I. INNER JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY:  Do you know who you are? DO you know why you’re here? Seeking the answers to these questions can launch you on an inner journey of self-discovery. PRINCIPLES OF PRAYER:  This course helps you to discover the true meaning and principles of prayer.  If you desire to learn how to pray effectively, then this is the class for you. AN INTRODUCTION TO A COURSE IN MIRACLES: This course helps students learn the self-study curriculum called A Course in Miracles. The contents of which were dictated by an Inner Voice that emphasizes the importance of forgiveness. Class discussions will center around major themes such as Asking the Holy Spirit for help; Seek and do not find versus seek not outside yourself; Confusing symbol with source.
