Ministry Description:

UTC's Creative Expression Ministry is an integral part of our worship experience. Volunteers in this ministry work together to create an atmosphere of joy, peace, and love as we celebrate the Christ within and among us. Our primary aims are to provide opportunities for the development and expression of individual creativity and to minister to the spiritual, aesthetic and cultural needs the congregation. We invite all who are interested to participate in our innovative approach to New Thought music, drama, and dance. The Creative Expression Ministry consists of choir and ensemble members, instrumentalists, dancers, actors, and other performers who are willing to share their gifts of artistic expression.

Ministry Teams:

Voices of Truth: A dynamic blend of adult voices devoted to vocal training and the preparation of music for 10:50 A.M. Sunday services and special events.

Truth Ensemble: Comprised of 7-8 professional vocalists and music educators who communicate Truth principles through a diverse selection of inspirational music. The Truth Ensemble ministers during the 8:30 A.M. services and special events.

Musical Theater (Adult & Youth): The aim of this performing arts group is to teach participants to develop their skills in vocal music, drama, and dance. They provide the church and the community with live theater performances throughout the year.

Composition/Arranging/Lyrics: Many of the principles of New Thought Christianity are not reflected in traditional worship music. Volunteers on this team work together to create new music and lyrics or rearrange popular songs to complement our empowerment teachings.

Instrumentalists: Rehearse and perform as a group or as featured soloists during regular services and special events.

UTC Singers: A high-energy ensemble that ministers through contemporary gospel music with a New Thought flair. This group is featured every third Sunday of the month during the 10:50 A.M. service and for special events.

Enlightened New Thought Chorale: The perfect alternative for singers whose hectic schedules make it difficult for them to attend weekly rehearsals. This chorale performs periodically for Sunday worship and special services.

MEC (Men Expressing Christ) Ensemble: This ensemble consists of men whose melodic voices communicate the good news through song. The MEC Ensemble ministers periodically throughout the year.

Joy Singers: UTC's acclaimed praise and worship team leads the congregation in joy singing at the opening of the Sunday 10:50 A.M. service. This ensemble also ministers during special events.
