YOUTH MINISTRY
Director: Jacqueline Vanterpool
"Train children in the right way, and
when old, they will not stray." Proverbs 22:6
(NRSV)
Ministry Description:
The Youth Ministry is dedicated to providing a holistic
program of youth education and fellowship based on
the spiritual principles that will empower young people
to develop their potential.
Ministry Objectives:
Spiritual: Our youth curriculum
consists of Bible-based, age appropriate lessons; Master
Mind prayer; and worship celebrations.
Sunday school is offered during both
Sunday services. (8:30 A.M. and 10:50 A.M.)
Nursery and Kindergarten - ages 6 months to 5 years
Children - 1st to 6th grade
Junior High - 7th and 8th grade
High School - 9th to 12th grade
Social: We offer a variety
of activities to cultivate, encourage, and strengthen
social skills. A few of the events include the Youth
Gala, Annual Fashion Show, Annual Graduation Celebration,
Youth Adventure In Faith, Harvest Festival, Thanksgiving
Pot Luck and a variety of field trips and tours.
Service: We believe that
it is important to instill a commitment to service
in our youth and help them understand and appreciate
the connectedness of all humanity. Service is a means
for them to demonstrate their understanding of spiritual
law and gratitude for their unlimited potential.
